Five Ways to Negotiate a Better Job Offer ... Despite the Economy

In the early 1980s the country was in the midst of a major recession as bad as the one we are currently experiencing. Unemployment was in the double digits and so was inflation. Yet I was able to negotiate a 50 percent salary increase when I took a job with a new firm in Washington, D.C.

Although I would like to be able to say that my success was due to my extraordinary skill as a negotiator, it wasn't. I was still in my 20s at the time; this was the first time I ever really had to negotiate about my own compensation and, in hindsight, I made a lot of mistakes. The things I did do right though, were to negotiate with the right employer at the right time, and I was able to convince them that I was the right candidate for the job. Then and only then did we seriously talk about money.

In a tough economy most individuals don't think they have the ability to negotiate salary. Regardless of the state of the economy, if you are able to get a job offer you probably are in a better position to negotiate than you think.

When it comes to negotiating, as in every aspect of your life, you limit yourself by what you think you can do. If someone wants to hire you, it is because you offer something that they value. As a result you are in a position to negotiate for additional money, benefits and opportunities. There are, however, right and wrong ways to go about it. Here are five tips to help you negotiate better even when the job market is weak.

1. Take the time to learn how to negotiate,
2. Get a potential employer to "fall in love" with you before you talk about money.
3. The only difference between being employed and being unemployed is your self confidence.
4. Don't act like you are negotiating.
5. Negotiating is not only about salary.

Development of the mobile phone

Mobile Phones are two-way electronic radio devices that are used to send and receive mobile voice and data over specialised networks through the use of base stations. In the year 1978, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, (popularly known as NTT), introduced the first commercial mobile phone service in Tokyo, Japan. Although, this was not the first as Bell Labs was the first to propose such service and later installed the very first commercial service in Chicago, in the 70s. These days, Mobile Phone companies are numerous and so are these tiny and useful electronic devices. For instance, manufacturers in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and other Asian countries, have flooded the market with millions of cheap mobile phones. There are different types of Mobile Phones with many different features that vary according to the manufacturers, models and so on. Some of the common features with most Mobile Phones include: SMS, Voice Command, email, MMS for sending and receiving multimedia, services, accessories like calculator, calendar, to-do-list, and more. Even, some recent phones have the ability to play any multimedia types such as MP3, MP4, 3GP, radio and games. Some features common with these latest mobile devices may include infrared, GPRS, Bluetooth, video and voice recording, camera etc.
Mobile broadband is also common with mobile phones. It is a high-speed wireless internet access through a small modem that is mostly built on some of these cheap mobile phones. It enables users to connect to the internet with their mobile phones through various network standards like 3G, GPRS. Almost every month, more sophisticated mobile phones are being introduced into the market with some or all of these listed features above. In fact, if you have a fat purse, you could get a mobile phone deal with one of these mobile phone companies and you could get yourself a customized and well packaged phone to suite your style and need. With billions of users, the Mobile Phone is no doubt the most widely used piece of electronic device in the world. Perhaps, this could be, in my own opinion, due to the fact that some users subscribe twice, and in some cases, several other users have their mobile devices inactive. Now, with new and cheap mobile phones and accessories being invented every month with better mobile broadband and better mobile phone deals, it appears certain that the best is yet to come.

Sushi

History OF SUSHI
When most people hear the word, “Sushi”, they immediately think of raw fish. In truth, dishes made with raw fish are called “Sashimi”. What defines Sushi is any dish made with vinegar rice, which may or may not include raw fish. Most often, Sushi will consist of various types of shellfish such as crab or lobster, or cooked fish along with other fresh ingredients wrapped tightly inside the sticky vinegar rice.
Although in today’s society you will find Sushi served most often in a Japanese restaurant, it actually dates back to 7th Century China. As a way of preserving fish, the Chinese people started making Sushi but without modern day refrigerators, they used the natural process of fermentation. To complete the Sushi-making process, only rice and salt were needed. The result was delicious fish, causing Sushi to grow in popularity.
In the 1800s, Sushi was made using a process that involved pressing fish in between layers of salt and leaving it for months to ferment. This process is known as narezushi, or “edomaezushi”, which is still used in some restaurants in Japan. The name narezushi was originally called “Edomae” and shortened to Edo. This name translates to “in front of Edo” which is a reference to fish caught in front of Edo city and used for the making of Sushi. Unlike the Sushi eaten today, Edo was formed in a ball of rice with a slice of the fish. When it came time to eat narezushi, the rice ball was thrown out and only the fish eaten. Today, narezushi is very difficult to find outside of Japan in that it has a unique taste not usually appreciated by Westerners.
As time passed and many of the Japanese and Chinese cultures crossed, Sushi became a popular food choice in both countries. Throughout the cities, you would find food stands where various types of Sushi were sold. In fact, during intermission at the various theaters, Sushi was sold as a snack much like the popcorn sold in today’s theaters. Since Sushi was easy and quick to make, it became a staple for most households in the 19th Century to accommodate the busy lifestyles of the Japanese people.
Eventually, a food shortage in Japan changed the way in which Sushi was made. Rather than throw the rice out, it was now eaten along with the fish. Additionally, the fermentation process was shortened so the fish although still safe to eat, was a little on the raw side. Because the fermentation process was shortened, the Sushi had a slightly sour taste, which people loved. As people began experimenting, they discovered that by making the rice with a little vinegar the same sour taste was produced and better yet, the fermentation time was dramatically reduced to one or two days.
The popularity of Sushi is greater now than ever. People are much more health conscious and enjoy the fact that Sushi is low fat, loaded with nutrients, and easy and quick to make. For instance, a typical serving of Sushi consists of 8 to 10 pieces, which is around 350 to 400 calories. Because of the fish, Sushi is high in protein and an excellent source for Omega 3 fatty acid. From the seaweed used in Sushi along with the rice, this food is also rich in iodine and complex carbohydrates.
What began as a means of preserving fish has turned into a multi-billion dollar industry with thousands upon thousands of Sushi restaurants dotting the country. If you have never eaten Sushi, you will probably be surprised at how delicious it is. Sushi has a nice, light taste that leaves you satisfied.

Summary
This passage is about Sushi, it made from “Sashimi”. Most often, it will composed of several types of shellfish mix with other fresh ingredients wrapped inside the vinegar sticky rice. It originates from China. Chinese people used the natural process of fermentation for preserving fish by only rice and salt. After that, Japanese people was using “Narezushi” that was process to ferment fish in between layers of salt for months. It was formed in ball of rice with a slice of the fish. When it came time to eat it, only the fish eaten .Today, Narezushi is very difficult to find outside of Japan. As time passed, Sushi became a popular food in Japan and China. Because Sushi is easy and quick to make. It’s appropriate the busy lifestyles. Finally, the way to make sushi changed because a food shortage in Japan. Rather than throw the rice out, it was eaten with the fish. Moreover the fermentation process was shortened.

PERSONAL RESPONSE
Sushi has always been one of my favorite foods. I love sushi because I attentive to my health. Sushi has a lot of nutrients such as high protein and Omega 3 fatty acid from the fish, iodine from seaweed and carbohydrates from rice. Furthermore Sushi was easy to buy because today it has many Sushi restaurant. It’s suitable for my lifestyle which must hurry to go university every morning. But I think it ought to have more and more various Sushi restaurant including original Sushi restaurant for people will gust the original Sushi.

Reggae Music

The word "reggae" was coined around 1960 in Jamaica to identify a "ragged" style of dance music, that still had its roots in New Orleans rhythm'n'blues. However, reggae soon acquired the lament-like style of chanting and emphasized the syncopated beat. It also made explicit the relationship with the underworld of the "Rastafarians" (adepts of a millenary African faith, revived Marcus Garvey who advocated a mass emigration back to Africa), both in the lyrics and in the appropriation of the African nyah-bingi drumming style (a style that mimicks the heartbeat with its pattern of "thump-thump, pause, thump-thump"). Compared with rock music, reggae music basically inverted the role of bass and guitar: the former was the lead, the latter beat the typical hiccupping pattern.

Reggae music was mainly popularized by Bob Marley , first as the co-leader of the Wailers, the band that promoted the image of the urban guerrilla with Rude Boy (1966) and that cut the first album of reggae music, Best Of The Wailers (1970); and later as the political and religious (rasta) guru of the movement, a stance that would transform him into a star, particularly after his conversion to pop-soul melody with ballads such as Stir It Up (1972), I Shot The Sheriff (1973) and No Woman No Cry (1974).

Summary: This paragraph is about reggae music. It is style of dance music. Reggae music was popular by BoB Marley who is ledder this style music.

Respond: I very like reggae music because It fanny when I hear that and it make me to dance follow music.

Swine flu vaccine'September'

The first swine flu vaccines are likely to be licensed for use in the general population in September, the World Health Organization has announced.

Several manufacturers have produced initial batches of a H1N1 vaccine and some clinical trials are already underway.
WHO director of vaccine research Dr Marie-Paule Kieny also sought to calm fears about safety of new vaccines.
She said the vaccines were based on "old and proven technology".
Figures show continuing rises in cases in the southern hemisphere in the past seven days.
Argentina has particularly seen a large increase and deaths now stand at 337.
And there has been a rise in cases of 25% in Australia.
Although it has not yet been clarified who would be first in line for a vaccine, it is likely to be those who are most vulnerable, such as pregnant women and young children.
Some experts have raised concerns about the lack of safety data on flu vaccines in these groups.
In particular a very rare neurological condition called Guillame Barre syndrome, which affected 500 people during a US vaccine programme against swine flu in 1976.
Dr Kieny said much was known about flu vaccines in these groups from seasonal vaccines given every winter and added that regulatory agencies would be monitoring for any signs of adverse reaction.
"The quality controls on today's vaccine are much better than they were 30 years ago," she added.

Fast track
Regulators in the US and Europe have special plans in place to fast-track swine flu vaccines, some of which are based on conventional seasonal flu vaccines and some which use newer technology.
Clinical trials are already underway in China, Australia, USA, UK, and Germany.
It comes as drug company, Baxter, has announced the production of the first commercial batches of its swine flu vaccine Celvapan.
The vaccine has been grown using cell culture, a much faster method than the traditional way of growing it in eggs.
Baxter is one of two companies contracted to provide pandemic flu vaccine to the UK, the other being GlaxoSmithKline, and both plan to start clinical trials this month.
One key part of the trials is to work out whether people need one or two doses of the vaccine.
Ministers have repeatedly said they expect to have enough doses for half the UK population by the end of the year.

Summary
The world Health Organization has noticed that the standard Swine flu vaccine may allow for use in September, pregnantwomen and children will be in the first row by using fast method to deliver.

Response
It's a good news that Swine flu vaccines are ready for use in September because vaccine will save crowd'life.Situation of Swine flu worldwide at the present time is in desperate time. The number of patients has risen quickly and there are many patients died.So the vaccine should be quality and safety. It must able to against the virus truly.Sending the vaccine to clinics for use should be in a quick route.

Health Benefits of the Strawberry

We all know strawberries are delicious, but they are also nutritious, and ideally should be a part of everyone's daily diet. You'll enjoy some health advantages by eating strawberries regularly, and the best part is strawberries are one of the most delicious fruits.

What's so nutritionally good about strawberries?
Strawberries contain a range of nutrients, with vitamin C heading the group. They also contain significant levels of phytonutrients and antioxidants, which fight free radicals. These antioxidant properties are believed to be linked to what makes the strawberry bright red.So what are these weird free radicals? Free radicals are elements that can damage cells, and they are thought to contribute to the formation of many kinds of cancer. In addition to vitamin C, strawberries also provide an excellent source of vitamin K and manganese, as well as folic acid, potassium, riboflavin, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, copper, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids.
So many uses for strawberries!
Strawberries are among the most versatile of fresh fruits. Unfortunately, they are quite perishable as well. So purchase fresh strawberries only a few days before they are to be eaten. When strawberries are in season locally this is rarely a problem. But at other times of the year, it may be necessary to make due with frozen strawberries, which lose much if not all of their nutrition. At the produce section choose strawberries that are plump firm and free of mold and have a deep red color. Unlike other fruits, strawberries do not continue to ripen after they are picked, so be sure to choose the ripest, reddest strawberries, as they will provide the best taste and the highest nutrient density. Many people find that medium sized strawberries are sweeter and more flavorful than larger ones. When buying pre-packaged strawberries, be sure that the berries have not been packed too tightly, as this could cause them to be crushed or otherwise damaged.Handle strawberries properly and store them well after they have been purchased. Like all fruit, strawberries should be washed thoroughly prior to eating or storage. Any strawberries that show signs of mold should be discarded at once, as they will contaminate the remaining strawberries. The strawberries should be placed in a bowl, covered with plastic wrap, and kept in the refrigerator. Fresh strawberries will keep in the fridge for a few days.

Summary
Strawberries are ideally and delicious fruits. They contain with a highest vitamin C, significant levels of phytonutrients and antioxidants, which fight free radical. The consumer should choose strawberries that plump firm, free of mold and have a deep red. Strawberries are perishable fruit so should purchase fresh strawberries only a few day before eat. Chocolate again -*-

The Health Benefits of Chocolate: Can Chocolate Benefit Your Health?
Chocolate is one of the most popular sweet-tasting treats in the world and has been for centuries. But part of the myth surrounding chocolate is that if it tastes so good, it must be bad for your health.
But the surprising news from the scientific community is that this reputedly decadent treat actually has some health benefits, especially if you choose your chocolate wisely.

Is Chocolate A Health Food?
Chocolate contains more than 300 chemicals, and has been the subject of a number of studies by universities and other scientific organizations. Here's a quick rundown of the results. (Note, we have no way of proving or disproving these claims so we offer them here as a stimulus for further research. If you're really interested in the subject, this may provide you with a starting point.)
* Cacao, the source of chocolate, contains antibacterial agents that fight tooth decay. Of course, this is counteracted by the high sugar content of milk chocolate.
* The smell of chocolate may increase theta brain waves, resulting in relaxation.
* Chocolate contains phenyl ethylamine, a mild mood elevator.
* The cocoa butter in chocolate contains oleic acid, a mono-unsaturated fat which may raise good cholesterol.
* Drinking a cup of hot chocolate before meals may actually diminish appetite.
* Men who eat chocolate live a year longer than those who don't.
* The flavanoids in chocolate may help keep blood vessels elastic.
* Chocolate increases antioxidant levels in the blood.
* Mexican healers use chocolate to treat bronchitis and insect bites.
* The carbohydrates in chocolate raise serotonin levels in the brain, resulting in a sense of well-being.

What Chocolate Won't Do
There are many myths and half-truths about the effects of chocolate on the human body. Here are the latest findings on several of them.
* Studies show that chocolate is not a causative factor in acne.
* Cacao contains the stimulants caffeine and bromine, but in such small quantities that they don't cause nervous excitability.
* Chocolate is not addictive.
* Chocolate contains stearic acid, a neutral fat which doesn't raise bad cholesterol.
* Chocolate doesn't make you 'high'. You'd need to eat a huge quantity (about 25 pounds at one sitting) to feel any noticeable effect.

But On The Negative Side...
1. Chocolate may trigger headaches in migraine sufferers.
2. Milk chocolate is high in calories, saturated fat and sugar.

Dark Chocolate Versus Milk Chocolate
Dark chocolate contains more cacao and less sugar than milk chocolate. It follows that any health benefits would be more pronounced in dark chocolate.
Dark chocolate is allowed on the popular Montaignac diet while milk chocolate is not.
You'll need to do a little research if you have any health concerns about eating chocolate. But with products like gluten-free and sugar-free brands finding their way onto supermarket shelves, you're sure to find some form of chocolate you can enjoy with a clear conscience.

Summary
This passage is tell about the advantage and disadvantage of Chocolate. It tell that chocolate can make you fell relax by smell, increase antioxidant levels in you blood and men who eat chocolate can live more longer than who don’t. But it have bad points too such as it maybe get you headaches and high calories.

Response
In my opinion, I think chocolate is very popular in every country around the world because everyone like to eat chocolate. So if they know the advantage and don’t eat it too mush it will give you many benefits. For example it can make you have good health and increase antioxidant levels in the blood. However if you eat it too much it will make you fatty and high calories.

Bang Nokkwaek

Bang Nokkwaek, a resurrected century-old riverside market, is the new rave in Samut Songkhram on weekends

These days it is hard to come by food vendors who actually encourage customers to try a bite before buying whatever is on offer. However, at Bang Nokkwaek, an old market in Samut Songkhram resurrected earlier this year, that is the norm and mark of local hospitality.

Small and sitting by the Mae Klong River at the mouth of a canal that connects to Damnoen Saduak floating market in neighbouring Ratchaburi Province, the market, more than a century old remained closed for decades after roads gained ascendancy over river as mode of transportation, until the local residents decided to revive and turn it into a tourist attraction last March.
Using word of mouth and exposure through television they have managed to breathe fresh life into the market and turn their homes in Bang Khonthi district into a major cultural attraction on weekends, explained Poonsak Tantidechamongkol, who raise sand goby, the fish known as pla bu in Thai, for sale.
Like other century-old markets around Thailand Bang Nokkwaek oozes traditional ambience, featuring two-storey wooden shophouses that open on weekends selling typical local exotics like salapao (steamed Chinese buns), phad thai kung maenam (fried noodles with river shrimp), mieng pla (crispy fish salad) and crab noodles.
Most of the dishes on sale are cooked in Chinese style because the local residents are descendants of Chinese migrants who moved from Bangkok to Bang Nokkwaek more than a century ago.
Apart from the food, available are river cruises lasting 30 minutes on the Mae Klong, free of charge.

A fitting mascot for the market.
A short walk from the market is the Church of Virgin Mary built in Gothic style 113 years ago, complete with a tour guide who is always happy to share his knowledge with visitors, particularly if the subject is stained glass that adorn the doors and walls of the church.
Bang Nokkwaek is convenient distance from other floating markets: in Bang Noi and Amphawa, while Damnoen Saduak in Ratchaburi is just 7.5 kilometres adrift. You can do them all in one day.
Take Highway 35 from Bangkok to Amphawa and turn onto Highway 325 and then the 6006 to Bang Khonthi. Follow the sign to Bang Noi floating market. When you reach the T-junction you will see a sign pointing to Bang Nokkwaek. Follow the sign and you come to the Church of Virgin Mary, which is on your left. Next up is a small bridge; cross it and the market is on your left, a small lane from the car leading you there.
If you travel by public bus, get off at Samut Songkhram station and take the local 'songthaew' (Maeklong-Bang Nokkwaek) to the market.

Summary
Bang Nokkwaek is a century-old riverside market where located in Meaklong River in Samutsongkram. It revive and turn it into a tourist attraction this year. This market open on weekends selling typical local exotics and it is near Bang noi, Amphawa and Damnoen Saduak. Travelers can go to there by car and public bus.

Personal response
Bang Nokkwaek is interesting because it is a market that is not well-known to someone so I think it is not bustle with tourist, it still have old way of life and old culture. This place is near Bangkok where is the one choice of tourist or people that looking for place where quiet and peaceful. If I have free time I will go to there before it is a famous place like somewhere.

Valentine's Day ^^

Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the English-speaking countries, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished .The day is most closely associated with the mutual exchange of love notes in the form of "valentines". Modern Valentine symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten notes have largely given way to mass-produced greeting cards. The sending of Valentines was a fashion in nineteenth-century Great Britain, and, in 1847, Esther Howland developed a successful business in her Worcester, Massachusetts home with hand-made Valentine cards based on British models. The popularity of Valentine cards in 19th century America, where many Valentine cards are now general greeting cards rather than declarations of love, was a harbinger of the future commercialization of holidays in the United States .The U.S. Greeting Card Association estimates that approximately one billion valentines are sent each year worldwide, making the day the second largest card-sending holiday of the year, behind Christmas. The association estimates that, in the US, men spend on average twice as much money as women.

Summary:
This text tells that Valentine day, a holiday celebrated on February 14th, it’s a traditional day on which lovers express their love for each. The sending of Valentine became a fashion in 19th-century such as Valentine card, flowers, chocolate.

Respond:
I think Valentine’s day is so beautiful day, because it’s a day of sending the love to other people. But I think we should give the most important for our family. I want everyday to be a Valentine’s day because everyone will love together everyday. Our world will meet a peace forever.

Cheese !

Cheese is a food consisting of proteins and fat from milk, usually the milk of cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep. It is produced by coagulation of the milk protein casein. Typically, the milk is acidified and addition of the enzyme rennet causes coagulation. The solids are then separated and pressed into final form. Some cheeses also contain molds, either on the outer rind or throughout.
Hundreds of types of cheese are produced. Their different styles, textures and flavors depend on the origin of the milk (including the animal's diet), whether it has been pasteurized, butterfat content, the species of bacteria and mold, and the processing including the length of aging. Herbs, spices, or wood smoke may be used as flavoring agents. The yellow to red color of many cheeses is a result of adding annatto. Cheeses are eaten both on their own and cooked in various dishes; most cheeses melt when heated.
For a few cheeses, the milk is curdled by adding acids such as vinegar or lemonade. Most cheeses are acidified to a lesser degree by bacteria, which turn milk sugars into lactic acid, then the addition of rennet completes the curdling. Vegetarian alternatives to rennet are available; most are produced by fermentation of the fungus Mucor miehei, but others have been extracted from various species of the Cynara thistle family.
Cheese has served as a hedge against famine and is a good travel food. It is valuable for its portability, long life, and high content of fat, protein, calcium, and phosphorus. Cheese is more compact and has a longer shelf life than the milk from which it is made. Cheesemakers near a dairy region may benefit from fresher, lower-priced milk, and lower shipping costs. The long storage life of cheese allows selling it when markets are more favorable.

Summary : Cheese is a kind of food that come from milk, maybe the milk of cows, buffalo or others, cheese has different hundreds types, styles, flavors. Some cheese is for making vinegar or lemonade by adding acid, it’s high content of fat, protein, calcium, phosphorus, it’s very useful for health.

Respond: I think cheese is very famous for everyone who loves milk, it’s me too, milk is very important for body because it has much protein, calcium. Not only this but it’s also many flavor for taste, maybe I have cheese with sandwich, every time when we take a photo what we always say? “Cheese”. Cheese is like chocolate although is not as sweat as chocolate, but everyone love to have all the time

The most common and best known animal is the reindeer that is an essential part of Lappish nature. Lappish culture is a mixture of influences from every direction. The cultures of the neighbouring regions of Sweden, Finland, Norway and Russia have greatly influenced the Sámi culture and Finnishness. The cultural differences between Lapland’s different regions are rather significant. The Swedish influenced West Lapland district is worlds apart from the Sámi culture of North Lapland with completely different language and traditions.

Summary
Lapland is renowned as being the land of fells and northern lights, a place with winters where there’s always snow and harsh temperatures. This is true, but Lapland’s nature has plenty more to offer. Lapland has four very distinctly different seasons, a limited but diverse flora and fauna, and expansive river waterways. Lapland’s nature has species typical for such climates, species that are well acclimatized to the changing conditions of the region.

Response
I think this place is beautiful and very abound. It’s very cold and have many seasons I want to go to this place very much because I like snow and I want to see a Snow Queen and Reindeer. I think someday I will be there.

You may have heard about soy foods in the news, including claims that soy prevents diseases such as cancer and heart disease. So what is the story on soy? Here are some facts.
What Is Soy?
Soy, a versatile bean used mostly in Asia, is found in foods like soy milk, soy sauce, miso (soybean paste), tempeh (which is kind of like a soy cake), and tofu. Soy is also sometimes added to foods like breads, cereals, and meat products, and used as a meat substitute in products such as soy burgers and soy hot dogs.
Foods that contain whole soy are a good source of protein for vegetarians and vegans because they provide all the amino acids — a type of nutrient — that people need to stay healthy. (People who eat meat get all their essential amino acids from meat products.)
What Are the Benefits?
Americans have started adding more soy to their diets in recent years because scientific studies have shown that some soy products offer health benefits. These include lowering cholesterol and reducing a person's risk of heart disease. But be aware that the health claims you see made about soy are not necessarily for all soy foods — they just apply to soy protein. This means that only foods identified as being "whole soy," or foods that specify they contain soy protein, will offer these health benefits.
Whole soy foods are a great source of protein and contain other nutrients, such as fiber, B vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids. Foods containing soy protein are also a healthy alternative to meats and other animal products that contain cholesterol and saturated fat.
Studies have produced varying results regarding certain health benefits of soy, particularly whether soy helps to prevent diseases such as cancer. Groups such as the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) do agree, though, that diets that include 25 to 50 grams of soy protein a day can help to lower levels of LDL cholesterol. LDL cholesterol — which is sometimes referred to as "bad cholesterol" — is the type of cholesterol that is known to build up in and to clog blood vessels, leading to an increased risk of heart disease.

Soy in Your Diet
In addition to the important soy protein factor mentioned above, some soy foods may not offer the other benefits you think. For example, soy milks may not be as good a source of calcium as regular cow's milk: Soy milks need to be fortified with calcium. And even with calcium added, experts believe they are less effective sources of this mineral than cow's milk.
If you're concerned about the amount of fat in your diet, keep in mind that soy foods do contain some fat. For example, a serving of tofu (about ½ cup, or 118 milliliters) contains 5.5 to 6.5 grams of fat. However, most of this fat is unsaturated, meaning it won't clog arteries. If you're still worried about fat, though, you can opt for a low-fat version. A serving of low-fat tofu has about 1.5 to 2.5 grams of fat.
If you're interested in eating more soy, the ADA recommends gradually introducing soy into your diet — for example, by mixing soy flour with regular flour. The key to good health is to eat a wide variety of nutritious foods without focusing too much on any one food.
Soy foods that pack the highest protein punch include soy flour, tempeh, and tofu. When selecting soy foods, the FDA recommends checking food labels to ensure that the food is an adequate source of soy protein and is low in saturated fat and cholesterol.

Vitamin C

Definition
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that is necessary for normal growth and development.
Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water. The body cannot store them. Leftover amounts of the vitamin leave the body through the urine. That means you need a continuous supply of such vitamins in your diet.

Alternative Names
Ascorbic acid

Function
Vitamin C is required for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. It is necessary to form collagen, an important protein used to make skin, scar tissue, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels. Vitamin C is essential for the healing of wounds, and for the repair and maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.
Vitamin C is one of many antioxidants. Vitamin E and beta-carotene are two other well-known antioxidants. Antioxidants are nutrients that block some of the damage caused by free radicals, which are by-products that result when our bodies transform food into energy.
The build up of these by-products over time is largely responsible for the aging process and can contribute to the development of various health conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and a host of inflammatory conditions like arthritis. Antioxidants also help reduce the damage to the body caused by toxic chemicals and pollutants such as cigarette smoke.
The body does not manufacture vitamin C on its own, nor does it store it. It is therefore important to include plenty of vitamin C-containing foods in your daily diet.

Food Sources
All fruits and vegetables contain some amount of vitamin C. Foods that tend to be the highest sources of vitamin C include green peppers, citrus fruits and juices, strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli, turnip greens and other leafy greens, sweet and white potatoes, and cantaloupe.
Other excellent sources include papaya, mango, watermelon, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, winter squash, red peppers, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, and pineapples.

Side Effects
Vitamin C toxicity is very rare, because the body cannot store the vitamin. However, amounts greater than 2,000 mg/day are not recommended because such high doses can lead to stomach upset and diarrhea.
Too little vitamin C can lead to signs and symptoms of deficiency, including:
· Dry and splitting hair
· Gingivitis (inflammation of the gums)
· Bleeding gums
· Rough, dry, scaly skin
· Decreased wound-healing rate
· Easy bruising
· Nosebleeds
· Weakened tooth enamel
· Swollen and painful joints
· Anemia
· Decreased ability to fight infection
· Possible weight gain because of slowed metabolism
A severe form of vitamin C deficiency is known as scurvy, which mainly affects older, malnourished adults.

Recommendations
The best way to get the daily requirement of essential vitamins, including vitamin C, is to eat a balanced diet that contains a variety of foods from the food guide pyramid.
Vitamin C should be consumed every day because it is not fat-soluble and, therefore, cannot be stored for later use.
The Food and Nutrition Board at the Institute of Medicine recommends the following amounts of vitamin C:
Infants and Children
· 0 - 6 months: 40 milligrams/day (mg/day)
· 7 - 12 months: 50 mg/day
· 1 - 3 years: 15 mg/day
· 4 - 8 years: 25 mg/day
· 9 - 13 years: 45 mg/day
Adolescents
· Girls 14 - 18 years: 65 mg/day
· Boys 14 - 18 years: 75 mg/day
Adults
· Men age 19 and older: 90 mg/day
· Women age 19 year and older: 75 mg/day
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and those who smoke need higher amounts. Ask your doctor what is best for you.

Honey

Honey is a sweet aliment produced by honey bees (and some other species) and derived from the nectar of flowers. According to the United States National Honey Board and various international food regulations, "honey stipulates a pure product that does not allow for the addition of any other substance…this includes, but is not limited to, water or other sweeteners". This article refers exclusively to the honey produced by honey bees (the genus Apis); honey produced by other bees or other insects has very different properties.

Honey gets its sweetness from the monosaccharides fructose and glucose and has approximately the same relative sweetness as that of granulated sugar (97% of the sweetness of sucrose, a disaccharide). Honey has attractive chemical properties for baking, and a distinctive flavor which leads some people to prefer it over sugar and other sweeteners.

Global warming

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the last century. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that increasing greenhouse gas concentrations resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation caused most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century. The IPCC also concludes that variations in natural phenomena such as solar radiation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 45 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries. A small number of scientists dispute the consensus view.
Climate model projections summarized in the latest IPCC report indicate that the global surface temperature will probably rise a further 1.1 to 6.4 °C (2.0 to 11.5 °F) during the twenty-first century. The uncertainty in this estimate arises from the use of models with differing sensitivity to greenhouse gas concentrations and the use of differing estimates of future greenhouse gas emissions. Some other uncertainties include how warming and related changes will vary from region to region around the globe. Most studies focus on the period up to the year 2100. However, warming is expected to continue beyond 2100 even if emissions stop, because of the large heat capacity of the oceans and the long lifetime of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
An increase in global temperature will cause sea levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of precipitation, probably including expansion of subtropical deserts. The continuing retreat of glaciers, permafrost and sea ice is expected, with warming being strongest in the Arctic. Other likely effects include increases in the intensity of extreme weather events, species extinctions, and changes in agricultural yields.
Political and public debate continues regarding climate change, and what actions (if any) to take in response. The available options are mitigation to reduce further emissions; adaptation to reduce the damage caused by warming; and, more speculatively, geo-engineering to reverse global warming. Most national governments have signed and ratified the Kyoto Protocol aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Summary
Global warming is the temperatures rising event that make the world get warmer than the past. This also makes the major effect of the world, climate change that affects the ecology of the world.

Response
This problem has been affecting the earth for a long time, but people start to realize the effect after they get the problem directly for a several years. But most of us still use the energy that make the world warmer every. If we can’t stop our old behavior and replace with energy that friendly for human and environment, the mankind will be history for next generation’s life form of the world.

Manchester City

Manchester City have approached West Ham United about the availability of Matthew Upson, amid a growing sense that Everton are not to going to allow Joleon Lescott to leave Goodison Park.
City's manager,
Mark Hughes, has identified Upson as the next option. Sylvain Distin, the former City defender who is now at Portsmouth, is also a possibility but Hughes would prefer Upson and the club are considering lodging an official bid for the England centre-back.
City have spent £94m this summer but Hughes, who feels his team still need strengthening in defence, wants to replace Richard Dunne, the club captain and four-times player of the year.

Summary
This news is about players transfering of Manchester city, football club in England, they buy many players with a large amount of money from any other team and now they want Matthew Upson to be in Manchester City too.

Respond
I think this is a good idea of Manchester City. They want New defender beacuase they don’t have good player in this position.Matthew Upson is a good Defender. In this season Manchester City want to be Big 4 in premierleague.
In this season,If they want to succeed in this year they want have good many defender and Mattew is a good choice. Some people say that if England football team don’t have Rio Ferdinand and John Terry,Mattew is a first choice in this position.City has Kolo Toure,he is good defender but doesn’t have good partner.Matthew will be a good partner for him.

Good skin care

Our skin is our biggest organ, and it is also the one that is most visible. We don't often think of it as an organ, but rather, what people see when they look at us. We also think of it as something that protects our bodies. Skin ages with us, and many do all they can to fight that. Some have problems with acne, and that can be something that shoots the self esteem down to almost nothing. Though there are no definite answers about what to do about all of these things, good skin care is always a great start.
I remember getting a skin care product in school when we had health class in sixth grade. This was when we learned about our bodies, and perhaps the point of good skin care was also something they associated with our changing bodies. Some think that acne is the result of foods we eat like fats and chocolate, but that is not the case. This often happens because of hormones, but good skin care can mean less problems with this skin condition. Acne is usually most prominent on the face, and that is why so many worry about it.
Good skin care always begins with keeping your face clean. Though you may not want to hear it, you have to clean your face at least twice a day in order to fight off some acne. It won't stop all of it, but it will help. Good skin care, on the other hand, will also help with aging. Most in their teen years don't give this much thought, but those that keep their skin clean and use a moisturizer every day will have better skin going through their twenties and thirties. Once you get into your forties, your skin care will be more intense, but a good foundation helps all the way up through the decades.
You don't have to spend a lot for good skin care, but you do have to find the products that work for you. You have to know if you have oily, dry, or combination skin, and you also have to think about things like heredity and lifestyle. If you have sensitive skin, your products are going to be different than for someone that does not. Take some time to experiment with different types of products so that you can find good skin care items that work well for you, and that keep your skin looking fresh and clean. Having great skin is one way you can really boost your self esteem.

summary :
Skin is the biggest organ that everyone can see. Sometime is show the health of us. If you have good skin, you will be confident. The causes of skin problems are hormones. You should keep your face clean by clean your face twice a day and use the appropriate moisturizer and the most effective for our skin. When you take good care of you skin, it will younger and healthy. So, you will look younger in next ten or twenty years. It can boost your self esteem.

Personal response :
I think this is the simply and easy way to take care of your skin. Sometime we use only the moisturizer but don't keep it clean, that is the cause of the acne problem. It will be nice, if we have healthy and younger skin. It boost our confident up and show how you take good care of yourself. When someone tell you that you look young, it will make the other jealous.

Can masks help stop flu spread?

By Nick Triggle
Health reporter, BBC News

One of the abiding images of the swine flu outbreak is the pictures from Mexico of people wandering the streets wearing masks.
And as the disease has spread from country to country, reports have emerged of people purchasing all sorts of products on the internet.
But while the scramble is understandable, experts are sceptical about just how useful they are.
Professor John Oxford, a virologist at leading London hospital, The Barts and the London, said: "Really, there is very little evidence that masks actually offer much protection against flu.
"I think handing them out to the public as has happened in Mexico just destroys confidence."

Health staff
It is these sorts of issues that has prompted officials from groups such as the World Health Organization and England's Health Protection Agency to steer clear of calling for them for general public use.
While Mexico has handed them out to members of the public, most other countries, including the UK, are just reserving them for health staff.
Others, such as Belgium, have bought some for flu patients, while several, including Spain, have handed them out to passengers on planes returning from affected areas.
It is believed there are enough masks for half the NHS workforce, but officials are already in discussion with suppliers about ordering another 30m to help cope if a pandemic develops.
Health workers have been told to wear them, along with special gloves, if they are in contact with potential victims.
Professor Oxford believes this approach is right.
"They are the people who will be most likely to be coming into contact with the virus and the ones who could be passing it on."
The Department of Health has focused on getting what are known as respirator masks. These have filters, which stop a person breathing in some particles in the air.
They are much more effective than the standard surgical masks or dust masks that are sometimes used by builders.
However, none of the masks can stop 100% of the particles getting through and become less effective once they become moist.
Instead, they are better at stopping the virus getting out.

Spread
Dr Ronald Cutler, deputy director of biomedical science at the University of London, said: "If you sneeze with a mask the virus will be contained so from that point of view if everyone wore them it might stop the spread.
"Or you could get the people with flu wearing them, but by the time they are diagnosed it could be too late.
"And the problem is that when someone sneezes they tend to take a mask off. I think masks give people a false sense of security.
"They are not bio-chemical suits. Masks are obviously just covering one part of the body so your hands and clothes could all have the virus on and when you take them off you will infect yourself.
"However, because people are wearing a mask they will think they are protected and may go into crowded areas.
"The best advice is to wash your hands and cover your mouth when sneezing."
Gail Lusardi, an infection control specialist at Glamorgan University, agreed.
"Masks alone will not prevent spread of the influenza virus and basic hygiene measures like hand washing, safe use and disposal of tissues and cleaning of environmental surfaces are key to preventing infection transmission."
She also said it was important they were correctly fitted - some of the more expensive respirator masks are molded to fit the face unlike standard masks that can be bought on the high street. And she added: "A mask can be worn continuously for up to eight to 10 hours, but must be replaced if it is taken off at any stage."

My summary:
This passage says that masks can control distribution of Swine Influenza 2009 but control less than 100% because of Infection can contact with other methods example, coughing sneezing and tough things. The best advice are is to wash your hands and cover your mouth when seezing, avoided in the crowded area and cleaning of environmental surfaces are key to preventing infecting.

My respondse :
I think that Swine Influenza 2009 contact through breath, sneeze and cough by the air is lead vehicle.Masks are one anti-virus devices. It is to avoid infection indirectly. Masks in Thailand, there are several sizes and color formats.People can buy as needed and sold at the department stores or the general shop. Masks are prevent disease and affordable. Masks have 2 type are paper and fabric which has advantages - disadvantages that different. Prevention methods of Swine Influenza are rinsing frequently with soap and water, do not use cups and spoon with other people, do not associate closely with patients who be Swine Influenza, to maintain strong health by eating a nutritious and exercise regularly and should be avoided in a crowded where have many people unnecessary.

the hanging gardens of Babylon

The King Hammurabi is the most famous king of the Babylonian kingdom. The whole kingdom flourished under his rule. His son Nebuchadnezzar is the one who built the Hanging gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of world.

Nebuchadnezzar ruled the country for 43 years from 605 BC. He constructed impressive array of temples, palaces and streets. It is being told that he built this garden to please his wife, Amyitis. Amyitis, daughter of the king Medes seems to have had a passion for mountainous surroundings. There are some other accounts which say that this wonder of the world was actually built by the Assyrian Queen Semiramis. The ancient account of this hanging garden (one of the Seven Wonders of the World) describes the structure to be a stairs like one. The Greek geographer Strabo, describes it as, "the garden consists of vaulted terraces raised one above another, and resting upon cube-shaped pillars. These are hollow and filled with earth to allow trees of the largest size to be planted. The pillars, the vaults, and terraces are constructed of baked brick and asphalt."

The irrigation system was supposedly the complex part built on this garden. This region had very scarce rains. Slaves were used to push the water upwards using some ancient method of irrigation. Of course there must be some exploitation of slave labor to maintain one among the Seven Wonders of the World. The gardens did not really hang on the roof using cables or ropes. But this name from the sense that it was built on the roof top. Some accounts state that the gardens are 400 by 400 feet and 80 feet high.

My Summary : This passage states that the hanging gardens of Babylon which is one of the seven wonders of world is built by Nebuchadnezzar. He built for pleasing his wife, Amyitis. The constructions of garden consist of cube-shaped pillars, vaults and terraces which made of baked brick and asphalt. The garden has irrigation system because of scarce rains.

My Response : I admire the hanging gardens of Babylon because of their Greek art. Maybe this garden built from Nebuchadnezzar’s love. It’s so romantic. I think many art places such as the hanging gardens of Babylon inspire many people love the art. I’m one of them. It has many ancient places in the world that we should visit. For me, many famous places made me feel happy to visit because it not only be the wonderful place but also useful. As this passage, because of scarce rains so the hanging gardens of Babylon has irrigation system for the slave. It had shown the taking care of Nebuchadnezzar. The hanging gardens of Babylon should be maintained for our descendant. They should find it one of the seven wonders of world.

Why sleeping less puts on the kilos

Why sleeping less puts on the kilos
I’ve heard that lack of sleep can make you gain weight, is the true?

Lack of sleep actually wears down your body, and this affect the body’s insulin resistance and increases the chance for metabolic syndrome, which affect the metabolic processes in the body.
You tend to see metabolic syndrome in a person who carries fat around his belly.
Other studies suggest that lack of sleep creates an imbalance of hormones in our body.
Two hormones, leptin and ghrelin, help control the appetite, as well as weight gain and loss. Leptin tells your brain to stop eating .While gremlin tells it to keep eating.
What the studies have found is that people who aren’t getting enough sleep have lower leptin levels and higher ghrelin levels. These unbalance hormones can cause increased appetite.
Thus, those with little sleep tend to consume more calories and gain weight.
If you suffer from sleep difficulties and are over 40, you should consider consulting an anti-ageing specialist to find a solution.

Summary

Sleeping less make person gain weight because people who aren’t enough sleep have unbalance two hormones that have lower leptin hormones levels which tell your brain to stop eat and higher ghrelin hormones levels which tell it to keep eating.

Response
I think sleeping less is a one cause of fat .Many people know this cause but they have to sleep less .however we should try to assign your time for sleep ,eat, play sport and good things for your health.

Liverpool agree deal for Roma star Aquilani

Liverpool are set to sign Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani from Roma after agreeing a transfer fee with the Serie A club.
Liverpool are set to sign Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani, seen here in 2008, from Roma after agreeing a transfer fee with the Serie A club.
Anfield boss Rafa Benitez moved quickly to land Aquilani, who will travel to Merseyside later this week for a medical, after reluctantly selling Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid for 30 million pounds.
It is believed Liverpool have agreed to pay around 20 million pounds (50.8 million dollars) for Aquilani, who rejected interest from Chelsea and Arsenal to join his childhood heroes Roma when he was 16.
The 25-year-old, who has 11 caps for Italy, may take a while to find his feet in the Premier league as he hasn't played since March due to injury.
He made just 14 league appearances last season and had surgery on his right ankle in May.
"Alberto is a very good player and I'm delighted we've reached agreement with Roma for his transfer," Benitez said. "Alberto has a winning mentality and great experience in both Serie A and the Champions League.
"He has long been recognised as a top class talent in Italy, captaining his country at both Under-19 and Under-21 levels before establishing himself in the senior national side."
Benitez, currently in Norway for Wednesday's friendly with Lyn Oslo, is working to a limited budget and had to wait until the Alonso deal was sealed before he had the cash to fund a move for Aquilani.
The Spaniard's only other close-season signing of note has been England right-back Glen Johnson, who joined from Portsmouth 17 million pounds.
However, Benitez is still searching for another defender after Sami Hyypia's departure to Bayer Leverkusen, Alvaro Arbeloa's move to Real Madrid and injuries to Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel in pre-season.
He could plug that gap by raiding cash-strapped Portsmouth again for French centre-back Sylvain Distin.

Summary
The Liverpool football club are set to sign Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani from Roma this week after reluctantly selling Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid for 30 million pounds. Liverpool have agreed to pay around 20 million pounds for Aquilani. He played for Italy about 11 matches. Alberto is a very good player and have great experience in both Serie A and the Champions League.

Respond
I think this deal is good for Liverpool. Liverpool has a new midfielder. Aquilani is a very good midfielder in both attack and defence but Alonso is a good only defence. Liverpool can remedy about attack. And then Liverpool has a money for shopping in this summer about 10 millon pounds. Liverpool has a money to buy centre-back Sylvain Distin from Portsmouth. And I think Roma received benefit from this deal because Aquilani often injury. Roma can sale Aquilani at high price.

COFFEE

Coffee is a brewed beverage prepared from roasted seeds, commonly called coffee beans, of the coffee plant. It is supposed that the Ethiopians. Coffee has played an important role in many societies throughout history. In Africa and Yemen, it was used in religious ceremonies. As a result, the Ethiopian Church banned its secular consumption until the reign of Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia. It was banned in Ottoman Turkey in the 17th century for political reasons, and was associated with rebellious political activities in Europe. Coffee is an important export commodity. In 2004, coffee was the top agricultural export for 12 countries, and in 2005, it was the world's seventh-largest legal agricultural export by value. Some controversy is associated with coffee cultivation and its impact on the environment. Many studies have examined the relationship between coffee consumption and certain medical conditions; whether the overall effects of coffee are positive or negative is still disputed.

1. Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods. You need more than 40 different nutrients for good health, and no single food supplies them all. Your daily food selection should include bread and other whole-grain products, fruits, vegetables, dairy products and meat, poultry, fish and other protein foods.

2. Enjoy plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Surveys show most people don't eat enough of these foods. Do you eat 6-11 servings from the bread, rice and cereal? Do you eat 2-4 servings of fruit and 3-5 servings of vegetables? If you don't enjoy some of these at first, give them another chance.

3. Maintain a healthy weight. The weight that's right for you depends on many factors including your sex, height, age and heredity. Excess body fat increases your chances for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some types of cancer and other illnesses.

But being too thin can increase your risk for osteoporosis, menstrual irregularities and other health problems. If you're constantly losing and regaining weight, a registered dietician can help you develop sensible eating habits for successful weight management. Regular exercise is also important to maintaining a healthy weight.

4. Eat moderate portions.
If you keep portion sizes reasonable, it's easier to eat the foods you want and stay healthy. Did you know the recommended serving of cooked meat is 3 ounces, similar in size to a deck of playing cards? A medium piece of fruit is one serving. A pint of ice cream contains 4 servings.

5. Eat regular meals. Skipping meals can lead to out-of-control hunger, often resulting in overeating. When you're very hungry, it's also tempting to forget about good nutrition. Snacking between meals can help curb hunger, but don't eat so much that your snack becomes an entire meal.

6. Reduce, don't eliminate certain foods. Most people eat for pleasure as well as nutrition. If your favorite foods are high in fat, salt or sugar, the key is moderating how much of these foods you eat and how often you eat them.

7. Balance your food choices over time. Not every food has to be "perfect." When eating a food high in fat, salt or sugar, select other foods that are low in these ingredients. If you miss out on any food group one day, make up for it the next. Your food choices over several days should fit together into a healthy pattern.

8. Know your diet pitfalls.
To improve your eating habits, you first have to know what's wrong with them. Are you getting enough fruits and vegetables? If not, you may be missing out on vital nutrients.

9. Make changes gradually.
Don't expect to totally revamp your eating habits overnight. Changing too much. too fast can get in the way of success. Begin to remedy excesses or deficiencies with modest changes that can add up to positive, lifelong eating habits.

10. Remember, foods are not good or bad. Select foods based on your total eating patterns, not whether any individual food is "good" or "bad." Eat them in moderation, and choose other foods to provide the balance and variety that are vital to good health.

Summary
Expert advised about health eating that eat full 5 group foods. My health need more than 40 different nutrients and choose to eat whole grain, fruits and vegetables more than food high in fat:salt or sugar.
When you are very hungry so you eat snack, it's can help curb hunger, but don't eat so much. If you can't to change your eating habits overnight, it's not worry and do not go without food.

Response
In my opinion, This paragraph is good. It can help that advice while enjoy to foods when I eat. All foods is good or bad for someone that depend on many factor, sex, age and heredity. The most important for care my health is regular exercise.

Troop reductions are crucial to easing tensions along the border with Cambodia near the Preah Vihear temple, the 2nd Army commander says.
Lt Gen Wibulsak Neepal yesterday said the two countries should reduce the numbers of soliders deployed in the area to a level where neither country has an edge.
“I am afraid violence might occur if we do not talk,” he said.
Border tensions flared again after the Thai government renewed its opposition to Unesco listing the temple as a World Heritage site on Cambodia’s behalf.
The issue was addressed by Lt Gen Wibulsak in talks with his Cambodian counterpart, Lt Gen Chea Mon, at the border adjoining Surin’s Kap Choeng district.
Lt Gen Wibulsak refused to comment on Thailand’s opposition to the temple’s listing other than to say: “We do what we are supposed to do. That is to protect our sovereignty.”
Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban and Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwon met Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen for informal talks in Phnom Penh on Saturday. Mr Suthep said Hun Sen supported attempts to ease tensions.
But the Phnom Penh Post yesterday quoted Hun Sen as warning Thailand against violating Cambodian airspace.
“I told the Thai deputy prime minister and minister of defence frankly to be careful and not fly across the border into Cambodian territory,” Hun Sen told graduates at the National Institute of Education in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
“I am afraid that I won’t be able to control the shooting if the soldiers on the ground lose patience.”
Cambodia had no intention of confronting Thailand but had the right to protect its territorial sovereignty, the Phnom Penh Post quoted him as saying.
“We are waiting to shoot because we are not invading [Thailand]. Cambodia is not showing muscle, but to defend the nation we will play it until the end,” Hun Sen said.
Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya yesterday said relations remained strong despite Hun Sen’s aggressive words.

Summary and Response

The Preah Vihear temple is very beautiful ancient remains. But now, Preah Vihear temple is a big conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. Both of countries have a good relationship for a long time and now, the relationship of both are not stable because border conflict around the Pearh Vihear temple.

The Preah Vihear temple is conflict both of countries between Thailand and Cambodia for a long time which are not solve yet. It’s become a big conflict when International Court of Justice has decided that Preah Vihear temple as a Would Heritage site on Cambodia but Thai Government oppose for this request that are cause of border tensions flared again. Pearh Vihear temple belongs of both countries, the entrance site belongs in Thailand and structure’s Pearh Vihear belongs in Canbodia too.

In my opinion, this conflict was started from border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia which are big problem. According to Cambodia request UNESCO to list the Preah Vihear temple as a World Heritage Cambodia’s site and Thai Government oppose this request to make border tension again. So, I think the Preah Vihear sould belongs for both countries. Cambodia should talk with Thailand before asked UNESCO because it does will not become big conflict and both of countries have a good relationship and neighborhood countries. This a big problem have affect directly to both countries and economic too.

Finally, Thailand and Cambodia have a good relationship and neighborhood countries for a long time. So, Thai Government and Cambodian Government should solve this conflict carefully because it can reduce a strongly conflict and can become to be a good relationship and good economic of both countries as well.

-The Best Time of My Life-

It was June 15, and in two days I would be turning thirty. I was insecure about entering a new decade of my life and feared that my best years were now behind me.
My daily routine included going to gym for a workout before going to work. Every morning I would see my friend Nicholas at the gym. He was seventy-nine years old. As I greeted Nicholas on this particular day, he noticed I wasn't full of my usual vitality and asked if there was anything wrong. I told him I was feeling anxious about turning thirty. I wondered how I would look back on my life once I reached Nicholas's age, so I asked him, "What was the best time of your life?"
Without hesitation, Nicholas replied, "Well, Joe, this is my philosophical answer to your philosophical question:
When I was a child in Austria and everything was taken care of for me and I was nurtured by my parents, that was the best time of my life.
When I got my first job and had responsibilities and got paid for my efforts, that was the best time of my life.
When I met my wife and fell in love, that was the best time of my life.
When I was a young father, watching my children grow up, that was the best time of my life.
And now, Joe, I am seventy-nine years old. I have my health, I feel good and I am in love with my wife just as I was when we first met. This is the best time of my life.

"Chocolate"..

Chocolate comprises a number of raw and processed foods produced from the seed of the tropical cacao tree. Cacao has been cultivated for at least three millennia in Mexico, Central and South America, with its earliest documented use around 1100 BC. The majority of the Mesoamerican peoples made chocolate beverages, including the Aztecs and the Maya, who made it into a beverage known as xocolātl, a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter water". The seeds of the cacao tree have an intense bitter taste, and must be fermented to develop the flavor.
Chocolate contains alkaloids such as theobromine and phenethylamine, which have physiological effects on the body. It has been linked to serotonin levels in the brain. Scientists claim that chocolate, eaten in moderation, can lower blood pressure. Dark chocolate has recently been promoted for its health benefits, including a substantial amount of antioxidants that reduce the formation of free radicals, though of the obromine renders it toxic to some animals, such as dogs and cats.

In this issue, we will explore the chemistry behind the spiciness that may better equip you for you next spicy Northeastern Thai meals.
The burning sensation in chili pepper is from a chemical known as “capsaicin”. Although capsaicin is present throughout the skin of the chili pepper, it is concentrated in the white layer that holds the chili pepper seeds. Capsaicin was the plant’s way to deter mammals from consuming chili pepper, as their gastric juice destroy the chili seeds and prevent the repopulation of the chill plants. According to the 2007 Guinness Book of World Record, the hottest chili pepper is the Naga jolokia is 20-times spicier than the Thai chili pepper, which already brings most people to tears after just one bite.

Internet

Twenty years ago, kids in school had never even heard of the internet. Now, I'll bet you can't find a single person in your school who hasn't at least heard of it. In fact, many of us use it on a regular basis and even have access to it from our homes! The 'net' in internet really stands for network. A network is two or more computers connected together so that information can be shared or sent from one computer to another. The internet is a vast resource for all types of information. You may enjoy using it to do research for a school project, downloading your favorite songs or communicating with friends and family. Information is accessed through web pages that companies, organizations and individuals create and post. It's kind of like a giant bulletin board that the whole world uses! But since anyone can put anything on the internet, you also have to be careful and use your best judgement and a little common sense.

Just because you read something on a piece of paper someone sticks on a bulletin board doesn't mean it's good information, or even correct, for that matter. So you have to be sure that whoever posted the information knows what they're talking about, especially if you're doing research! But what if you're just emailing people? You still have to be very careful. If you've never met the person that you're communicating with online, you could be on dangerous ground! You should never give out any personal information to someone you don't know, not even your name! And just like you can't believe the information on every website out there, you can't rely on what strangers you 'meet' on the internet tell you either. Just like you could make up things about yourself to tell someone, someone else could do the same to you!

*****************************************************************************************************************

-- Summary --

This passage says about the internet. Nowadays, it’s very popular among people. The internet is the best worldwide linking. People can enjoy talking and not to be worried about the distance in chatting. But it is full of a dangerous material because we can’t know a fact about your person in chat. So, you must be careful and don’t believe in everything on internet for your safety.

*-* Response *-*

If you play internet without careful sense, you may be deceive. However, the internet have much benefit too. It makes the distance become adjacency. So, we should use the internet carefully and have the careful sense with it then you will get the best advantages in your entertainment life.
